Microsquirt RPM not reading with coil

Hello, i'm in the process of converting my 83 bmw 320i mechanical fuel system to run off of microsquirt. I have all the other sensors wired and i'm getting the correct info/readings in Tunerstudio. The issue that i'm running into now is, i'm not getting an rpm signal. I have it setup to get the signal by wiring opto+ to the negative terminal of the coil and opto- to 12v(verified both are getting voltage with multimeter). I was able to somehow get an rpm signal yesterday by turning off dual spark/multispark and setting the trigger wheel off. The next day I think I might of changed a setting in tunerstudio that has caused it to stop reading. I'm stuck at this point, so any help would be awesome. I'm running microsquirt v3.77 (only using to control fuel atm) and tunerstudio v 2.0.8. Heres my latest .msq. Thanks for any help.

I messed with some settings and changed from using opto+/opto- to using the vr1 input on the vr sensor of my distributor. I'm not getting any fuel out of my injectors when cranking. It works when I apply the test mode though. Here's the latest .msq.

Are you now getting an RPM signal while cranking?

Still having issues with fuel injectors not turning on when cranking. Not sure what else I'm doing wrong since I'm able to get rpm now. :?

Can you post a data log of what's happening now that you get RPM?

Do the injectors work in test mode?

Matt, it says earlier they work in test mode. :)
Could it be the unit is corrupted? Need reflashing?

Either way as a friendly reminder to folks that post problems, the most important Information is held within a msq & a datalog. These really do help us solve your problems.

So I ended up changing directions and went with EDIS-4 for my ignition system. Have the wheel (36-1) mounted and the VR sensor working. I followed these when installing the system... (http://www.useasydocs.com/details/edis4ew.gif)(http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms2extra/MS2-Extra_EDIS.htm). But instead of connecting pip to pin 30 I used vr1 - and taped the + wire up. This was mentioned in the second link. I'm getting RPM but it's still stating the engine isn't cranking even though it is. I'm getting spark but still no fuel. Running uS v3.77 and TS v 2.0.8. Below is a datalog of the motor cranking over and the latest .msq. Thanks for taking a look!

The RPM spikes to a crazy value at first - try increasing the Skip Pulses and see if the RPM when cranking is more reasonable.
