Do we need sheilded/surpressed plug wires incase of interference with Microsquirt?

GM LS2 Coils (D585) & plugs are NGK BR9EV (or BR9EIX)

Im looking at Taylor Leads but i kinda need to know what to buy!

Sorry, i should mention my plugs are the resistor type, i understand the R in the BR9EV signifies resistor.

Im sure those can be changed if necessary to a B9ES or something? (Non Resistor)

If i use resistor plug caps should the plugs be changed to a non resistor type?

I don't know about your bike, but the Fizzers use resistor plugs AND caps. There have been multiple instances on the various MS sites about the bad things that happen with non-resistor plugs.

Ok, cheers Don. So Resistor caps it is then...........what about the leads though? Normal copper or what?, do i need em to be supressed or just sheilded?

We're pushing the limits of my experience, but with plugs and caps I'd wonder if just good copper wire wouldn't be sufficient.

It's a minefield to me as well Don. I've contacted Taylor themselves but the guy I was speaking to said he went to the Microsquirt site to see what the requirements are but couldn't find anything.........so he's waiting on me coming back to him

Copper wires with good insulation are fine - but be sure to use spiral core wires. Solid core ones are trouble.

Can Carbon leads (that have a higher resistance than copper) be used instead of copper leads & resistor caps?
