No RPM signal

I am getting a reading on all the gauges except for rpm. I have hooked a scope up to the rpm sensor leads and am seeing a signal being sent to the microsquirt module but it isn't showing up in Megatune.

I am also not getting any signal sent to the injector for it to open, which I'm assuming has something to do with Megatune not seeing any rpm signal.

Has anyone had any problems reading an rpm signal in Megatune? Any suggestions?

Thanks

mg,

Could you post an MSQ file of your settings and a datalog?

Lance.

Is there a chance the rpm signal doesn't pick up unless its over a certain rpm? So when we are trying to start the engine it isn't at a fast enough speed for the rpm sensor to pick up?

What trigger wheel and sensor are you using?

Yes, but a Hall effect sensor should be OK. I think you have a two wire inductive sensor (although some have 3 wires, extra ground shield), but as a quick fix, try reducing the air gap (voltage is proportional to air gap) or reading the AC voltage and get back with the info.

There isn't enough info in your post to give a definitive answer, so that's why dontz125 asked his question.

I attached a screen shot of the trigger wheel settings in megatune.

Is that the information you were wondering about?

And what sort of trigger wheel is physically on the engine?

Normally, if running a 36-1 wheel with no cam sync, you have to set it for a 2 cylinder engine and set skip teeth to 36.
