MS wont let me rev above 6K

i have the settings set to 9000K but after tuning the driving part now im trying to tune WOT and cant get above 6K even if i free rev just sitting there it hits a rev limit of 6k. Ive tried messing with timing seeing if that would help and got no change is there anything i have to change in MS to run boost?? other then that it runs great drives ok still need to do alot of tuning. Any help would be great thanks

81 yamaha XJ650 stock engine 9:0:1 comp engine
03 gsxr TB 240cc injectors
GM-3-bar map sensor tied into all 4 cy
GM-coolant temp and iat sensors
homemade turbo setup
MS-v3
quadspark
36-1 trigger wheel with one stock vr sensor
420a neon coil in wastespark

only reason the rpms drop out are caused by the fuel cut if i was to just hold it there lite throttle i could lightly bounce it there but i just cracked it wot.

Try a 5K or 10K resistor across the terminals of the VR sensor. We've found this essential on the 60-2/VR sensor combo and it may also be needed on other relatively high tooth count wheels.

So just grab a 5k or 10k resister and put it on the + and - wire right ? I read somewhere of doing this

Did the resistor and no go well I thought I would try adjusting the air gap and that ended up being the problem thanks for your help

Did increasing or decreasing the air gap solve the problem?
