Hi
Just replaced my hall sensor with a VR one and wired it up. Old sensor refused to work over 1500 rpm, but engine did start.
Now i dont get any spark. Checked on the scope and it looks OK (but reverse on this pic), tried swapping the cables but no luck on spark.

When i run the tachref.exe (and loaded tooth analyser 2.4) it looks like this:

I presume the gap is the missing tooth.
Also tried setting "rising" or "falling edge" input in ignition settings but still no spark...

But, when i set the trigger wheel setting to 0 (ie no wheel, just pulse) it fires like crazy and rpm shows some 12000 when cranking.
I guess that's 35 times the engines crank speed.... seems the squirt doesnt detect the missing tooth properly.
(Have the plugs out and fuel pump disconnected i might add)

Any ideas on why? Hardware is ok i think since it ran on the old sensor.

Have 2.890 loaded.

That plot shows a good signal. If you run it with no fuel does it at least get an occasional rpm. If you datalog it and look at the +/- trigger count, does this count up or down or both ?

Solved....
"Skip teeth" was set to 0, hence no spark
