hey,

my setup is factory ecu controls the motorcycle and im using my us to only add fuel under boost conditions thats all i want it to do. ive wired in the injectors, map sensor, power and ground, and im taking the ignition signal off of the negative side of the no.1 coil. My problem is when starting my bike megatune shows only 300 rpms in the program and megatune states that the bike is still cranking, which is dumping tons of gas into my motor when its actually idling at 1300 rpm on my tach. Im not sure how to set the us to read the correct rpm, im not sure if i need to take the ignition signal off of maybe the tach output or if it needs to come off of the crank pickup(id like to stay away from taking the signal off that pickup)

and help is appreciated, im very new to this program and unit so have patience

thanks craig

Something's obviously not working here - if nothing else, there should be NO fuel flow cranking OR idling if you're using this as a piggyback controller for boost! What kind of ignition does the stock ECU use - CDI or TCI? CDI may not give a clean signal for coil -ve triggering.

the ignition signal is tci it has a 12volt power and then it pulls a ground when its time to fire.

another thing, i have opto in (+) wired to the negitave on the coil and opto in (-) wired to switched 12 volts. from what the us instructions have said this is correct but i have read on some posts that it is not.

That mod should work OK. However, if triggering off one coil of a coil on plug setup, you'll need to pretend it's a one cylinder. Also set your cranking pulse widths to zero.

well, ive gotten it to read proper rpm but it is not consistant, the rpm will read right for a split second and then go back to reading zero and for what ever reason when the microsquirt plugged it its starting to make my coil not function and thats turning on my fi light for my factory ecu. ive tried using an injector signal but it did the same thing, so i moved on to the factory tach output for the guage cluster and it wont read any rpm out of that.
