Where to find a base map for 600cc bike?

Hey guys, I did a quick search and cant find much on people running Yamaha R6's. I am about to install the software into my megasquirt (its running a microsquirt module) and I am not super savvy creating a base map on my own.
Does anyone know where I can find a base map to start with, then I can modify it to suit my needs best? Any help is greatly appreciated!
Ryan

I'm not sure if I'll get scolded for this - not
exactly advertising a competitor...
Go to <url removed by forum admin team>. Click on Products, then Ignijet2007, then download Ignitjet_2007.exe (that's the controller program). On the "Bike" tab, select R6. Go to the "Inj1" tab, and check the 'ms' box - it's in the lower middle, lower right, beside the 'Interpolation' button. The injection map will now display in milliseconds of injection time. Given the '0.680' values @ 2% TPS / 10000 RPM, I don't believe that includes opening / dead time.
Converting this to VE (based on your fuel_req) is left as an exercise for the student...

They are now too expensive to be a competitor for the MicroSquirt & MicroSquirt Module, but they are good units for motorcycles and have come a long way, since I have been watching them for four years. They were one of the few people who were prepared to decode the Yamaha FZR1000 & Thunderace OEM crank teeth, as the missing tooth on these engines is not an integer, and can't work with B&G 2.890.
Back on topic, I would think a good starting for the R6s required fuel will be around 9ms, and VE values around idle to be 20-25.

Thanks for the info guys, 'Im new at this an need to learn quick. I have in my "ideas book" that I was thinking of starting with 8ms and a VE of 25, so I was close in my thoughts is seems.
What about timing advance maps? even a factory map would work for me to start from, I just don't know where to start if I build it myself.
thanks again!

You might get some info from the Yamaha Service Manual, but to be honest they might only show advance curves as flat lines, not 3D. However you'll need to troll the web for anything similar or look on msruns.com for anything like your bike. I did glean some info from my 1993 service manuals, but they were so generic, plus the default curves, in the software for were quite far away from where I have ended. So although you want to learn quickly, and have some ideas, your learning will only really start after the bike fires. It took me two years on & off to just get started, and if I invested quite a lot of time & money in the process, so good luck.
I'll also add, my bike now reliably starts hot or cold, but I don't expect to go down the road properly for another two months, so I'm hoping your R6 project is not for this years race season.

Invest in an LC1 wideband from DIYautotune.com. For $200, you can build a proper fuel map for your bike. For timing, you could check another bike using a timing light or get idle, max advance and max advance rpm from the manual. Then just set a 2d table. (its all you need) 3d is great for fuel economy and emission but does nothing for performance.
