micro squirt mod ??
im trying to get this straight the module can not be used as a stand alone or can it ??? if so what additional parts are needed and are they for sale from diy???

yes and yes.
The module is the same as the squirt. You have a few more options for bringing different wires if you want.
It is a stand alone. It does not have the onboard ignition drivers. But the same drivers can be used. DIY has everything you would need.
All it needs is a case to be put in. A wiring harness and or plug of sorts. A serial port.
Unless you have a project or something in mind. It might be more cost effective to buy a microsquirt?

thanks for the info that is what i needed to know i have two projects , kz1000 with zx14 tbodies and the zx14 trig wheel and i just finished my ms1v3.0 this is drag bike so i wanted 2 step (lauch control) shift light etc etc fetaures of ms1extras... the other is a hd with a magna charger and a carb which is leaving 
the manifold is just about done as well as the tbody and the hd has a crank trig on the crank with missing teeth and all the other sensors needed. the problem is im not familar with the offset firing for the hd in ms1 and there realy is no room for ms1 case on the bike so im looking for alternatives but the ms2 software seems a little more difficult to set up (so many parameters) i saw u used the squirt how is it going
