Utility Board for MicroSquirt Module

I wanted to share a new board that will be available for the MicroSquirt Module, called the
Utility Board. This is a simple 2-sided PCB that sits on top of the MicroSquirt Module and breaks out all of the J2 header signals to screw terminals. Its sorta a marriage of the MicroSquirt and the Access board, all in a two-board sandwich.
The two boards interconnect using a Samtec TSM surface-mount header mounted on the underside of the utility board. The two boards are held together using 4-40 threaded M-F standoffs, 7/16".
The purpose of these two boards is to facilitate simple engine testing and experimentation. Its a very inexpensive way to get a MicroSquirt Module up and running. There is no case for the setup (yet), but one could easily mount this within a watertight enclosure. It would also be possible to conformal coat the boards to make them weather-tight. One may be able to even cast them in clear potting compound to make a
MicroSquirt Brick!
Here is a video of the boards - along with a few test wires, just checked out.....:

Bruce,
When will this be available and from where? I would like to possibly develop an adapter board for the MicroSquirt Module and this setup would allow me to test coding before I fab that adapter board.
Thanks,
Reuben

I am in the final testing with this board. It is turning out to be really useful - I just used it to verify some VR circuit timing and I am glad I have it available in this form. Its perfect for prototype work.
Anyway, we are going to try to make this pretty inexpensive. We will turn on a board run in the next few weeks, so I would suspect that they would be available in the next 4 -6 weeks or so.
If you need this sooner to get your adapter board working, send me a PM.....

Looks like a great part to have, when will it be available, where, and how much?
Any idea??

atomicsix,
I have had one of these on my desk for a month, so I know they are ready. However Bruce has been very busy, so he may not be replying as quickly as he would like. If I was you, I would email the vendor of your choice to see if they have these or when they expect them (and how much they might cost).
Lance.

Thanks, for the reply, I realize that bruce is overwhelmed, that is why I replied to his post, and waited before the bump up. I am in contact will Jerry@diy weekly, and he is aware of my projects, so if he had any I think he would have offered them up to me. I asked anyway. I'll wait for the Reply.
Thanks again,
John Stevenson(Turbo Fairmont Squirter)

Sorry for not replying - honestly I was unaware there was a continuation on this thread.... there are way too many different threads to keep track of them all.
Anyway, specific to this one, I am doing a little more verification to make sure 100% of the board is working, hopefully to be finished today. Then I just need to get PCBs made up and the unit available.
One thing I want to make 100% clear and everyone aware... the Utility Board only brings out the large J2 connector, which is the vast majority of signals. It does not bring out the small J1 header (2x5). For many, many apps this is not issue at all - and the signal complement is the exact same as whats available for a regular microsquirt. See the image here for what signals are on each header:

We can turn the PCBs pretty quick, in a few weeks - if all is 100% with the board, which it should be....

Any word on when these will be available? I have several OE computer replacement projects this would make much easier.
