AlphaN Not Working????

I have code 2.886 in a Microsquirt and i am trying to set it to AlphaN direct coil control. The engine runs on carbs and a dizzy and so MS is in shadow mode until it works fully. I am just trying to control ignition. I have used TunerStudio to set set up the MS etc.

I have set the code to True AlphaN and set up my AlphaN Map table.

However, when i try and tune my Spark Table using the 3D Tuning tool i find that the tuning 'dot' is not reacting to TPS but is just wandering around following the MAP value. There is no MAP sensor connected so the MAP value floats around and the MS is still trying to use that as its control even though i have set it to Pure AlphaN.

Any suggestions i am at a loss??????????????????????????????????????

I'm not sure how TS handles it, but the way you get pure alphaN in the code is by setting the 2 associated rpms to both be above your max rpm. Or both = 0 if you have the bit set that says to use pure alphaN above the associated rpms. So check that these are set properly.

So i check these bits in the code, i.e. the 2.886 code? Gulp...........

Righto i shall see if i can find that!

Not sure i really understood what you said - sorry!

Would i be better off trying Blended and then setting the SD part really high so that my engine never gets to it? I.E. say 15000 rpm. I can still keep the TPS table the same i presume and then the engine will never look for the MAP.
