cold start and first tune questions

guys,
Now that I have finished my wiring (well 99.9%)

I will attempt to start the engine next week-end, I'm planning on using the msq from 64 Ford as a base.
Now, it's very cold outside (I have no garage) and was wondering what do I or how do I start tuning :?:
Shall I no connect the idle valve and try to get the engine going or do I connect it?

65looter,

If this was mine, I'd connect the idle valve, and put in 'reasonable' values (the defaults are a good starting point for a stepper IAC - For PWM you may have to experiment a bit). If anything, set the values so the idle speed is higher than you need. This will get the engine up to temperature quickly without stalling, then you can start tuning from there. There is more here: http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/tune.htm#csenrich

Thanks Lance, I'll connect it.
I got the values for the valve from this post http://www.msefi.com/viewtopic.php?f=29 ... ve#p166897
That should do the trick.
