Hi,

I want to use Microsquirt on a single-rotor Wankel rotary engine and after having read the details about Microquirt I assume that this is possible.

As this is a complete build-up from scratch I would like to get your advices on what sensors to use best, trigger wheels, ignition, injectors.

Nothing is decided yet, so I m open to your suggestions

Or is there even anybody out the who has ever done this?

Best regards

R.C.

This should be possible. Does your Wankel have one spark plug, or a leading / trailing split?

I'd probably use GM type sensors as those are the defaults, and probably a 36-1 or 60-2 trigger wheel. Depending on your spark needs, the Microsquirt can fire a coil directly, or you can use a CDI ignition box.

The injector size will depend on the horsepower output you're expecting.

The Wankel has 1 spark plug.

Do we have to use a 36-1 oder 60-2 wheel? or could we also use a 12-1 wheel ?

Thanks

Ok, that makes things a bit easier. While 36-1 and 60-2 are the most popular, a 12-1 ought to work too.
