tach signal problems

so i have a v2 board with the ms2 processor. i've been having a heck of a time getting it working properly and i'm not really sure why i'm having such issues with the code and ini files.

car is a 1.9L turbo saturn. 4 low impedence 95 lb injectors and 43.5psi base pressure.

either way, i think i fianlly got it working properly except for the fact that it only shows half the actual rpm. so if i'm at 2k, it shows 1k. i've tried 2.33, 2.3, 2.36 and 2.6.....(beta version). they all do the same thing.

i'm pretty sure i have all of the settings right. it doesn't really make sense considering earlyer today i had good tach signal. the tach has worked fine for years and i'm sure that its not a connection issue.

so for a quick fix, i scaled my rpm points in half. it seems to work, but i'm a little nervous that its doing its job right.

if anyone could shed some light that would be great. heres my msq file in case anyone cares to take a peek.

if anyone would like to make suggestions on acceleration enrichments that would be awsome. i lost my old ones which i stole from a friend. the ve table i have in there is a rough tune, so i'm aware that there are holes all over the place.

thanks

Mike are you running anything off of the tach wire like the DIS-2 ? I almost forgot what is the value of your R12? What ver of the code is this file from?

Also when you updated the code did you jumper the bootloader pins?

What year car is this and you you have a MS hooked up piggyback where the stock ECU still handles idle and ignition or is it full standalone?

fuel only, stock ecu is handling timing for the time being. i'm not going to even attempt ignitian until the fuel bugs are worked out.

i forgot which wire i used, but its either the reference or tach signal off of the ignitian modual. pretty sure its the reference.

i'm not using a dis 2 or anything like that. its a ob1 ecu and ignitian modual.

it seems to run great even with the scaled map, it just makes me a little nervous running it like this.

i would try a msd tach adapter, however it worked before, so i don't really want to spend $60 on that little bugger.

i uploaded the code by following the instructions to the "t". i don't think it is a upload or version issue. i'm thinking its a setting or somthing.

is there anywhere to modify how the ms2 determines tach signal?
