Computer Froze

For what it is worth, my laptop froze up while I was attempting to tune my new MegaSquirt. I think that it suffered an internal fault due to excessive heat because I had it laying down flat upon my car seat. Now, I keep a space between the seat and the laptop for air ventilation.
At the same time, the engine died, but I did not think too much of it because I was messing with the IAC steps. However, the engine would not restart and MegaTune showed no RPM. After examinging the wiring for a couple of days, it occurred to me that the embedded code may have corrupted in the freeze.
I reloaded the firmware code to the CPU in MS, RPM returned, and the engine ran better than ever.
If in doubt, reload the firmware prior to spending too much time chasing down wiring and VR sensors.
