I am sort of new to all this fuel injection. I have been looking around this site for some time now and I need some help. I want to convert my carbed 460 in my ford truck to efi, but I am not sure what I need to order. I have been looking at diyautotune and have been thinking about getting one of their assembled units, but I am open to suggestions. I am planning on using a tfi ford dist out of one of the late model fuel injected 460's. The engine is approx 550 hp as we drag race it and that was calculated from the weight of the vehicle, trap speed and et. So I bought some 42 lb injectors. So all I have is the injectors and a carbed engine at this point. I can convert the carbed intake to fuel injection with out any problems because I work in a machine shop. My next question is what type of manifold will work best; single or dual plane? All of the aftermarket fuel injection manifolds for converting old engines to fuel injection are single plane, so I am guessing that works best, but don't know for sure. I also have a bosch fuel pump off of a vw that was listed on one of the linked ms sites as a good pump to use. I guess the biggest question is what do I need to get as far as the ms unit goes, or how does it need to be configured/ordered? I was also planning on using the relay board.
