Question about injector settings

Hi i have a set of DSM 450 cc injectors that are about 3 ohms. When i changed the settings to low impedence injecots in megasquirt the car ran much worse, and i did set them up like the manual stated. I was wonderig should i leave them as high impedence injectors since when they are wired in series the resistance pretty much doubles. Thank you for any replies.

The manual has them wired in parallel - not series. The power does not have to go through one injector to get to the next. Your cumulative resistance should drop. There is a misunderstanding somewhere here. More info would help.

Wiring low-Z injectors in series would probably be fine (so long as they are of the same type. You may need a small resistor still (since they'll still be drawing 2A even in series). It would save on power supply current to the MS and reduce the amount of heat to dissipate through the resistor.. Just make sure to check that they will open OK at low battery voltage (say 6-7 volts) so you don't find hastles if the battery gets flat.
