ok ive been trying to work out how to adjust my laptop for usb use with mt

at the moment i have comms with the ecu but it will do odd things like screw an msq up during burning it will cause the laptop screen to flicker and give me resets even with only the ignition on it also doesnt read the ecu as it should i can burn a good msq with my desktop pc and check all the setting which are good

if i connect my laptop and look at the settings they are all screwed up sometimes

any advice the usb cable is a plug and play usb to rs232 doesnt say much else on it and its a bluey green colour clearish

Did you install the drivers for the USB to serial connector? Also you want to bump your FIFO buffers both down to low.
