AFR tables????
I have now hit a stumbling block that I cant seem to get past, so I'm looking for some guidance.
I have been running a NB sensor on my engine and have succsesfully used Auto Tune to tune the mid range of the VE map.
I have tuned the low MAP low RPM section using seat of pants and an emmissions tester.
I have now upgraded to a WB sensor and Innovate controller and wish to tune the high MAP/high RPM area of the map.
As I understand it I have to now generate an AFR table.
If I understand the way auto tune works with a WB sensor then it will try to "adjust" the map to satisfy the AFR table.
Is this correct?
My problem is how do I generate the AFR table?
I've read the "tuning MegaSquirt=II" section till my eyes bleed but still I must be missing something......
Do I just guess at the figures for the AFR bins?
If I do. How do I chack that my guesses are correct?
The more I think about this the more I think I must be missing something fundamental.
HEEEEEELP
Thanks in advance for any guidance you can give.
Regards
Brian

Yes, you are correct. autotune adjusts ve table, so that emissiong match target afr's.
now... there's no afr table generator.
look in the mega manual. there's a sample one there. generally you want as lean as possible (try 16:1 afr) in crusie/coast areas and 12.5:1 at WOT (for N/A engine) and blend in between. if you further search forums you will find other afr tables of other users, they are all as good... abasically autotune will set vetable to match afr table.
you will find setting up some bins (like 6krpm, 30 kpa for example) is difficult, not really necccesery... just smooth it out based on the general vemap shape.
hope that helps.....
