All,

I have recorded a couple of datalogs of my current tune and I am noticing a couple of things. My VE seems pretty good thus far, but I am still having a problem with a sudden lean condition upon acceleration (despite the fact of tuning the Accel enrichment bins)

Firstly; in the attached file "Going lean on accel.xls" @ times (2101.363 sec to 2106.450 sec) (2173.781 sec to 2175.722 sec) (2183.160 sec to 2185.658 sec) I am noticing that the AF reading drops out to 0.00 when I put the pedal to the metal. I can see the increase in PW caused by the accel enrichments; but it doesn't seem to stay on long enough to counteract the enleanment. Should I 1) increase the VE bins in the corresponding areas, 2) Increase the accel enrichment duration, or 3) keep the duration the same and increase the accel enrichment bins??

Secondly; in the attached file "PW spikes and odd behavior.xls" @ times (145.936 sec to 147.015 sec) (169.942 sec to 175.414 sec) I am noticing that the PW actually fluctuates a little as it increases on accelleration enrichment. Is this normal? My gut is also telling me that the PW behavior @ (169.942 sec to 175.414 sec) is indicative that the accel enrichment duration needs to be increased further (a couple seconds?). Is this interpretation correct or do I really need to take a closer look at the VE bins?

(Both of the datalogs are of me tooling along on the highway at 65 to 75 mph @ cruise. I blipped the throttle a number of times and then returned to cruise)

All help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks everyone!

Jesse,

For the first part, I would try all three methods to see which works best. My guess is that #2 (increase the duration) is what you want.

For the second part, I would guess you are seeing accel tapering, though I don't know how this is implemented in MSnS-E. Increasing the accel duration ought to help, though.

Hwever, I wouldn't tune accel against the EGO output, but rather use your 'seat of the pants' to get the best response.

Lance.

Thank you Lance!

I will increase the duration of the accel enrichment and see what happens.
