Double check MT settings on VW 16v w/ ITBs (MSns-e 029q2)

Post by the brit »

Note: I hope this is in the correct forum! Sorry to anyone on dialup for all the photos!

I'm having a tough time getting a decent base with tuning. A poster on here w/ a similar setup suggested that AlphaN is the only way to go with the ITBs, although switching over to it has confused me even me and i'm struggling to find decent writeups for AlphaN. Autotune doesn't seem to be sorting out the map too much either.

Does anything look out of whack, in a sort of newbie way? Should i just keep whacking away on autotune?

I haven't used alpha-n, but the AFR table looks way too lean to me. I'd aim for 12.5 at full load, 17 (or 16) at light load and more like 14 at medium throttle.

Put your EGO switch point to ~2.5. This is why your logs wouldnt process in mstweak.
