I've been playing around with mopeds for a good while and I've gotten great performance out them with simple carbs but I want more and I'm running out of options, plus theirs the cool factor of having EFI, the moped in question would be a single cylinder 64CC Reed Valve type with a CDI type ignition, adding a battery is not a problem and neither is adding a higher power stator. I'm just trying to gain some driveability, in my quest for all out power I've lost some driveability that I would love to gain back. I think of myself as a skillled enough fabricator to do whatever I want.

Your biggest challenge will be providing the current required to drive a high-pressure fuel pump.

Finding very small injectors will be difficult as well.

Look into motorcycle parts, or some of the new Honda EFI scooters. I think you'll find that even these "bikes" have an alternator of sorts that provides high-current output. (relatively high... compared to a stator)

P.S. MicroSquirt doesn't exist just quite yet... It's still in the development stage.

I realize it's in the developmental stages, also I think i could figure something out for the alternator and the fuel delivery.

Look for parts off of a wrecked Aprilia SR50 Ditech.

These are fuel injected 50cc 2-stroke bikes. Synerject (a branch of Siemens) developed a very efficient little piston fuel pump for this bike that uses about 12 watts, and it's suitable for engines upto about 12bhp.

The injector may also be suitable, although this is geared for direct injection rather than port injection.

Whilst you're at it, try and get the throttle body off the same bike.

You can easily find extra watts from your existing charging system by replacing running lamps with LED's.

I got a shed load of parts off of ebay for my 300cc single 4-stroke port injection project. These were off of a Jetforce 125cc scooter.

The grand sum of £0.99p got me a suitable throttle body, injector, most of the sensors I require, a suitable injector spigot to modify my manifold, a fuel pump, an idle air control valve and all the relays I require for MS control.

Another source of bits could be off a Honda Pantheon - EFI 125cc 4 stroke.
Been around for a few years now sho should be some spares/scrap bits available.
