difference between stepper IAC and FIdle?

For discussing MicroSquirt (TM) configuration and tuning of fuel parameters (including idle valves, etc.).

as the topic say, i dont get the difference for them, both are use for engine warm up?

Both control idle speed during warmup. FIdle is simply a valve that opens wide to rev the motor while the IAC is a stepper motor that takes steps and closes slowly as the engine warms to hold the RPM throughout the warmup period. IAC is what all never cars run these days.

that was confusing because on the plan both were plug to megasquirt
