hesitation

Post by V8BUG »

Ok heres my setup: 283 SBC with a tpi for induction and a th350 trans.

Now, The car fires right up and idles pretty good, still surges alittle :( , and with no load, trans in park, it revs just fine and sounds very mean!!!

I believe the timing is close, I have checked and the trigger wizard match what I see on the timing light.

I took it for a ride down the street today and as soon as a I try and get on it, it stumbles and tries to cath its self. If I ease into the throttle it works better. My question regards the acceleration wizard. Assuming that my ve table is close, which I feel it is, is the acceleration wizard causing the hesitation?
I have read the megatune manual and tried the best I could to setup this thing but I am still having trouble. I am using the values that the manual had shown.

any help would be great!!

thanks

i've been messing with a 3.8l mustang MS2 pcb 3.0 2.3code mt 2.25

with a laptop and someone driving tuning stumbles is easier i've found you have to sometimes richen values around and on the spot the stumble happens , when i'm driving i try 2 number inc on each cell up and down and see if it clears up or gets better, so far we've got the thing to idle around 875-925 , and i haven't even welded in the O2 bung yet, Is tuning easier w/ an LC1 ?

If you log these events and look at them in detail later, you can often see what the problem is. A rich bog can feel exactly like a lean bog. A log and your .msq posted here would be a great help in order to get feedback from the forum. Any wideband is of great assistance in tuning!
