Quick WB O2 Question ?

I'm running the MS II and under Tools; Calibrate AFR Table I'm seeing "Innovate 0.0-5.0"

My question: Is this the calibration for 0.0-5.0 v; 10-20 AFR or the default Lambda configuration settings that come stock on the Innovate LC1?

I don't want my MS II processor reading incorrectly!

Can't give a quick answer as I use TechEdge but to prove to myself MT was reading right I simply placed a variable resistor across to 5Vref supply wrt ground, connected the wiper o/p into MS. I then got the transfer table from TechEdge which gave the output voltage to AFR and set the variable resistor to half dozen points and read of what MT reported.

Sorry if I'm telling you to "suck eggs"

Well what I did was Innovate has a warmup and error value setting that I changed to 2.32 volts or 14.7 AFR. On warmup MT reads 14.8 AFR. Guess this is close enough till I get a real answer.

Ok, I'm going from the top of my head on this one, since it's been about 9 months since I switched to my LC1 WBO2.

Ok, with you Innovative sensor and controler, it comes with directions. Read them a little after I tell you this. Just to make sure I'm correct.

Ok first, I am guessing you calibrated the sensor as the book said to, if not. Read on reseting it and recalibrating it to "freeair."

Assuming that's done, I believe the factory settings on the LC1 unit is 0-5v=10-20arf

Now the best way to check is plug you controler into your computer, via serial. Open up the program called something like "LMProgramer. (assuming you installed the software for the WBo2)" This is for programing channels 1 and 2 of you outputs. Set the channel you have hooked up the the MS (most likely channel 1) to read from 0-5v and an afr of 10-20. Make sure you have the MS unit set for 0-5v. In addition, you may have trouble getting you Innovative unit to hook up the the computer. I know I did and I read on Innovative's site, others have. I had to try many times before I got it to hook up. I don't have a serial port on my laptop, so I bought a Belkin USB to serial converter. When I couldn't hook u pto my units, I remember trying different USB ports, till it worked.

So I hope this helps you. So in short, I believe from the factory the unit is set to 0-5v for and afr of 10-20, but please double check throught your Innovativ e software, by hooking up the controler to the computer.

The stock form was not 0-5v 10-20 AFR. I got it set up though. It is just unclear in Megatune what the "calibrate O2 sensor" is looking for. The Innovate is labeled "Innovate 0-5." So I guess 0-5v 10-20 AFR. I always though there was a separate calibration to use it in stock form but I guess not. Look like you must change the LC1s setting for it to operate correctly with Megasquirt II.

OK, I think I misunderstood you question and now understand it.

I believe you need to adjust your C:\Program Files\MegaSquirt\car1\mtCfg\settings.ini file

If you're running 0-5v you need to "set" that and unset the other O2 sensor that is set.

I believe you can tell it what range somewhere, if I remember corretly. It's just as easy to setup you LC1 to work with Mtune. YOu also need to set MegaTune to WBo2.

I think I have mine set for 1-2v and I have no clue why. I would look at everything with my setup, but I'm 6000miles away from the car on a 4 month vacation. I will be redoing my setup wen I return.

Straight from Jerry at diy

First off, you want to have the LC-1 sharing the ground with your MegaSquirt. Also you should use a 470 ohm resistor in between the analog output of the LC-1 and the o2 input of the MS.

Then you need to configure:

In the MegaTune Configurator:
# set INNOVATE_0_5_LINEAR "Innovate, PLX 0-5V 10-20:1 AFR"

In MegaTune:
Set to 'Wideband Sensor'

In the LC-1 Configuration tool: Configure the Analog output you are using for 0-5V 10-20:1 AFR.

For MS-I or MSnS-E that's it.... for MS-II you use the 'Tools>Calibrate AFR' tool as the last step. Select Innovate 0-5 10-20 and click OK and you're good to go.

This is why I am asking. For my MSII I do Tools; Calibrate AFR and it says "Innovate 0-5" and that's it. No Mention of AFR range......??????
