Injector specs - lag & opening time correlation

Post by Metallargy »

I recently upgraded my injectors to 550cc (from 220cc), and I'm going to hone in on my 'correct' opening time.

They're Denso 195500-2020 saturated.

The lag time for them is .73ms.

Since I've got that spec, I was wondering if I can calculate the the 'opening time' that MS requires instead of playing with the car and the laptop trying to hone in on the correct setting?

Another question - with the MSII (CAN), how many decimal places can you tune the opening time to? Only 1?
I haven't played with it too much (I know the cranking is only tuneable to one decimal place), but I'm sure somebody will know it off-hand.

Thanks[/b]

Forgot to mention - I searched on here and the internet, and it almost seems like those 2 numbers aren't the same, although I've seen people post .5 opening times, and some of the peak-n-hold injectors have lag times in the .5s.
