Reading my plugs.

I can't seem to figure out what is going on with my car. I tuned the car with an LM-1 for 14.4-14.7 for crusing and 12.0-12.4 under boost but the electrode area of the plugs are white and the edge of the metal that is at the base of the plug is black. I can't figure out what is wrong. Maybe I need one step colder plugs, or the timing is too advanced or too retarded? Any info would be great. Thanks, Nick

Can you post a pic? You should be aiming for a tan/brown insulator colour really.

Are you ruinning the stock plugs and were they meant for a boosted engine? I dropped 2 heat ratings when I charged mine but 1 grade colder over naturally aspirated seems the norm.

that seems like it's showing both conditions, the richness under throttle then the lean under cruise?
I have 2 steps colder than stock as well.
