All,
What do you think about posting up a few specifics about our setup configurations to try to pick out a few patterns of what works best where? Perhaps something in the format below, keeping general chat to a minimum. A few key comments or observations about other settings that may or may not have worked would make a good look up for people.
Example:
V2.2 or V3.0 MSII: 3.0
MS Setup: Ignition and fuel
Code version: 2.54
Basic engine type: DOHC 2.3l Gasoline
Cylinders: 4
Engine speed sensor: VR
Sensor location: Crankshaft
Wheel type: 36-1
Skip teeth: 9
Delay Teeth: 8
Ignition module: EDIS
Trigger offset: 90
Skip pulses: 3
Predictor Algorithm: Last Interval
Time Mask: 10
Percentage Mask: 25
Cranking %: 70
After-start %: 80
Normal Running %: 25
Ignition Capture: Falling edge
Cranking Trigger: Calculated
Project experience:
Running successfully with MSI – much experience. Just switched to MSII. At setup/initial tuning stage now.
Comments:
Tried all predictor algorithms, current gives most stable idle. Adjusting normal running next pulse tol down to 20% made large difference to stability. No specific testing over 4000rpm yet.
Issues:
None at present – more testing needed.
People could browse through, pick out something similar to their setup and see if there’s any correlation between certain setup tweaks and reliable performance. I’m trying to keep track of quite a few threads covering this sort of thing at the moment so I’m sure I’m not the only one gathering this info.
What do you think?
Dan
