GSXR 600 Injector impedence

Hi All,

Newbie with probably a daft question thats been asked before!!

I'm fitting GSXR TBs to a zetec and running a megasquirt, hopefully to be up and running next week.

What I need to know is the impedence of the 600 injectors. Bit new to this but the guys whose helping with the ms was asking.

Cheers

GSXR 600 Injector impedence

Mark,

Measure the DC resistance of the injectors (with an ohmmeter across the two terminals for the connector). This will give you a rough idea of their impedance. If the DC resistance is greater than 10 Ohms, you have high impedance injectors. If the DC resistance is less than 4 Ohms, you have low impedance injectors.

In virtually all cases, this is all you need to know to wire MegaSquirt.

If you want to know the actual impedance, you'll need an LC (or LRC) meter.

Lance.

Did you ever find out if they were high or low impedance?

Sticky thread above lists them as 13ohm and high impedence but there's a question mark after this, we are working on the basis that they are high impedence at the moment although I haven't tested them. Hopefully the tB's will be plumbed in today ready to fire it all up tonight. will let you know.
