RPM based IAC control

I vaguely recall reading something about controlling Idle speed based on rpm feedback as a future MS-II development. I presume this would allow RPM to be set as a function of temp with IAC/FIdle controlling the idle speed. Is this in the pipeline? If so, any idea of when?
