Sharing sensors with OEM controller with MS II

Post by rb26dett »

you leave it empty. the reason is that if both ECUs are connected to
one sensor with two bias resistors, then neither machine will get an
accurate reading. it doesnt matter to MS where the bias resistor is
(inside it, or the other ECU), all it sees is a voltage, so for the
voltage to be meaningful you need to know what resistor is inside the
other ECU.

all you are measuring is the voltage at the point between two
resistors, one is changing with temperature.

you could probably determin the bias resistance by plotting the
resistance curve of the sensor, and then measuring the voltage curve
with it all on.

Thank you for answer Fred!

ps: the original thread has been moved to the "wiring and sensors forum" (I posted in the wrong forum)

Ludovic
V3 with MS II (blue board),Code v2.35,MT 2.25 + ford EDIS:
Engine: 1300 cc hyundai (G4EH), 4 cylinders, port injection.
