Does anyone know if Permatex No 3 Aviation form-a-gasket is oxygen sensor safe? I can't find a solid answer. It is a non hardening sealent that i believe (but am not sure) doesn't contain any silicon so it should be ok i think.

yeah, i put a gaset back on the inlet with a bit of permatex. I was kind of on auto pilot not really thinking. I drove the car yesterday for about 40 mins and it seemed fine before i thought maybe it wasn't safe. I changed the gaskey this morning for a fresh one and cleaned the permetex off. Hopefully no damage was done. I don't think it contains silicon.
