dodge 5.9l

hello, i have tried searching as many forms as i could before posting this. I am looking at putting a 1998 dodge ram 5.9l 360 EFI engine into another vehicle. i have the motor all the wiring, sensors and the stock ecu. unfortunatly the stock ecu has been fried. is it possible to run the ms-II without the stock ecu? also how hard is the ignition aspect of it on this motor? most of what i can tell everything seems to be gm oreinted with the HEI. can this unit control both of the coils on this motor or is it best to buy an aftermarket coil such as a msd ignition controller and blaster coil? any and all advice on any of these questions would be greatly appreciated.
