when setting up my ve table and tps bin. does the tp bin work off actuall tp% or tp voltage. do i set the top bin o 100% tp and the lowest bin to 0%

I'm using 021u code in hybrid Alpha-n mode and it uses 0 to 255 (0-5v) for TPS, whereas the datalog generated by Megatune is 0 - 100 (%).

This caught me out on the first trial; I wondered why it was running rich until the penny dropped.

I then set mine with the lowest and highest to match the range of the TPS, which in my case was 26 to 179. I just scaled the % TPS by 2.55 / 1.

My installation has ITB's and runs much better on hybrid alpha-n than it did on SD due to fuelling errors at 90-100kpa.

You can use alpha-n with either tps in percent or tps in raw ADC for your VE table. I use raw ADC values but can't remember how you switch between the two modes, it's probably in the ini file for MT. There was a detailed discussion on this a long time ago but I can't find it. I'm pretty sure if you do an up-front from-scratch setup you end up with ADC for tps. For hybrid alpha-n you need to set alpha-n in the MT configurator, it is alpha-n plus MAP, but runs from the alpha-n mode. The advantage of running tps ADC values is that you can monitor the tps through Palm or MT and know that it hasn't shifted. Info on alpha-n is scarce since very few people use it. I'm very thankful that it was ever added to the code in the first place and that it is still there. It would have been real easy for the developers to say no we don't want that - no-one uses it...

Saint, yes the upper bins will be higher than the lower bins. If you are going to use percent for tps then you need to use Tools/calibrate tps within MT to work out what your idle and full throttle tps% bins are. I don't think they will be 0 and 100, but it's been over a year since I ran % and my memory isn't that good. These questions can be answered with a stim and a multimeter on the tps pot. I can look into it if anyone really needs it - PM me.
