I have 48 boards that have been wave soldered in my hands. The heatsinks are still not in, but I had the CM put in solder resist over the VB921 holes in order to run them.

So the weekend will be me beginning testing of the boards, then I will have to get the heatsinks (when they arrive) and hand-solder them in.

One step closer...

I have been testing each one individually and its been a bit slow because I have also been verifying some of the setpoints and the dual-input software mode. Some more testing and more documentation on th specifics of the dual mode.

This weekend will have me testing all of the remainder units (after installing the heatsinks/VB921). I also have to conformal coat the boards and put them into the case.

The only holdup is obtaining the harnesses, they are still being assembled. The slowdown was the addition of a 2.5mm plug/jack on the serial cable so that it can be unplugged off of the harness. This is the same plug arrangement as the GPIO board. I should have the harness assemblies in a week.

i learned about megsquirt a year ago. i couldnt afford a megasquirt back then because i was swapping a 300zx v6 into my 240sx. then i learned about the microsquirt. i have actually left my car sitting in a garage at my ex's house since march so that i could wait for the microsquirt to be released. i didnt want to spend 400-1300 on a different EMS.

Is there an update on microsquirt availability????

So... about that connector... that's not going to be embedded in the case, is it? That seems like it would break the waterproofness of the microsquirt. And if it's not in the case, why is there a jack at all? Wouldn't it be up to the user to fit any sort of connector they feel is appropriate at that point?
I don't mean to be a smartass, I just don't quite get why the type of serial cable matters...

Hmm... I'm probably not understanding something because it's monday... I'll check back tomorrow to see if something clicks then.

I think he means the harness breaks out with a 2.5mm jack on it (like the Innovate LC-1). Maybe B&G will release a "standard" harness that ships with the MicroSquirt?
