Can you post your datalog and msq? Or just the datalog at least? You are using 2.886 code, alpha-n, fuel only, driving the optocoupler from the coil negative with a series 24V zener, running 4 inj's from the 2 inj outputs on a 4 cyl in-line that revs to 10,000rpm, correct? Just checking details so the guru's have a chance of offering help. A datalog of the event happening may pinpoint the problem, without that its just stabbing in the dark.

I think I asked this before, and I appologize if you already answered it, but, does the bike freak out and/or die when it's parked and you rev it over a certain RPM in neutral? Or is it only under load that it has problems?
Also, how much of a difference, if any, did the different tach input circuits make, and which one are you using now?

Ian that about covers it.
the bike will idle fine, it revs cleanly...i could leave it running all day.
but once i try to ride hard, that when it all goes wrong.
the bike starts first time, no messing around.
hopefully there should be a data log included...i am not sure if the 9500 revs means anthing, but once it starts playing around it doesnt stop

The datalog is good, but I still can't understand the reason for the reset. Just before the reset, it looks like a slight miss-fire in the rpm, then the TPS drops, but CLT and IAT remain stable so the 5V supply looks good, as does the battery voltage. Then the RPM drops like the TPS. Being a fuel-only install I can't even see why a miss-fire would upset the uS anyway...unless it caused a big 12V spike on the 12V supply to the uS. This is the only possible cause I can think of, and I'm grasping at straws.
What is the rev-limit of the stock igniton system? The only thing I can think of to try is putting a 22uF electrolytic capacitor rated at say 63V (or more) across 12V and ground at each coil, but this is grasping at straws also, but is what I would try next if no-one else comes up with anything. Putting these caps on has helped other installs running other codes, it is not an original idea, some cars come with them standard. If I think of anything else I will let you know.

the rev limit is 11500.
so that should be ok, i was thinking of putting an external globe on the bike and connecting it to each circuit to see if i loose my power.
i am not sure if the relay ignition feed is dropping out or my original bike wiring may be a problem. it all seems a little strange because until i went on the dyno the bike was fine. so whatever isit is you would think the bike dying caused it.
Ian ....these capacitors, how should they be connected ?

If the rev limit is 11500 then don't worry about the caps idea, I don't know what I was thinking. Have you put in a new set of plugs since all this tuning began, a bit of running rich can take its toll, maybe throw in a new set of plugs if you haven't already? In the datalog it looked like the revs died a bit about half a second before the reset. I thought maybe that might have caused the reset. The AFR is fine there so the problem may be elsewhere.
Something to try to rule out power loss, is temporarily hardwire the uS to the battery positive terminal via an inline fuse say 500mA or 1A (put the fuse very close to the batt terminal) and then take the bike out for a thrashing. That will isolate the ignition switch, kill switch, relay and other associated wiring.
I suggest that if you don't get any other help here in the next couple of days, post it on the
http://www.msefi.com forum with full details (like in one of my posts above) and post the datalog, there is a lot more traffic over there and a lot more people with a lot more experience. After all, uS uses the same MS2 chip and similar code.

Dave was around today, so we took another look at your datalog, just trying to help we are. The TechEdge WB also reset on the first power interruption. Looks like the power isn't solid. Whatever source of power killed the uS also cut power to the WB, that is your clue.

the wb gets its power from the fuel pump relay, i know that the pump and the wideband stop working at the same time.
i had hooked up a led to the earth circuit from the microsquirt, when it happens the light goes out.
i just need to find out what is killing that circuit. i have powered up the relay directly ...but the problem is still there.

would this mod help me ?
