Hi Matt,
Well, you've listed 3 possible things. Now the fuel filter/ regulator I have been using actually runs @ 53psi (felt that wouldn't be a problem from the 49psi injector recomendation). Does this strike you as a potential for trouble? I can revamp that circuit and use a dedicated regulator, just don't want to if I don't have to. The pressure gauge has been back on the bike since the first problem, and the pressures haven't varried at all so my guess is that isn't my problem right now.
So, that leaves either the injectors, or the drivers. Wouldn't it kind of make sense that if the injectors had been subjected to a period of time (can't garantee it wasn't less than 300-400miles)of roughly double pressure, that they might weaken and not open quite as well once shut during a decel time?
I've put the bike to bed for the year, so I"ll have to figure out what to do by either looking at the parts, or testing them.
I guess there is no easy method, should visual condition not give away any clues.
I guess I'll post what I find, probably be ordering some new injectors I'm guessing.
Lorne.
