No, the laptop and the car are running without any plugs. I've started pulling all the unnecessary wires hoping to find some combination that works. Is it possible that I created a grounding loop with the shielding for my sensors.

What I have are two bosch VR sensors, each with three wires, positive, negative and shield. I grounded the shields with my current setup; what is the optimal way to wire this?

Ooh, maybe inadequate supply cable size??? How big are the wires supplying power to the MS?

I had 2 reasonably good sized cables for power. I cut one of them thinking that maybe I could have a loop there that was causing a problem... but no luck. I'm going to keep removing wires until I find something that doesn't cause resets. I had this thing running just fine when it wasn't doing ignition and megatune was working. I know there is a solution :D

Well after another night clipping wires and pulling my hair out I finally found the culprit. It was actually the FIFO buffer in the device manager for my comm port. It was set way too high and I dropped it down all the way to the lowest setting and now it seems to be reset free. Now on to the next challenge :RTFM:
