I'm using the ppl/wht wire on my saturn for a tach and it works fine. ANother saturn guy is using the white tach wire and it works fine.

I think I have my crank rpm set to 300 or 350. Whatever it was set at stock was too low. It just wouldn't fire anythig other then a prime pulse until is was in cranking mode. I found that it didn'tlike to go into "cranking" until is was around 50-100rpm within that cranking rpm range. It could just be my car being "special" though.

Does your tach needle bounce when you crank it (the real tach in the cluster)? If it normally bounces when you crank and its not now, its usually a bad crank position senor.

I would still double check all the jumper wires again, as I know some of the text it smached together and are a little miss leading.
Also, I jumpered the D2 diode....id you installed that diode, try shorting our by soldering a peice of wire to its two leads.

My tach never did bounce when it was cranking. My cranking rpms was set
at 50, should I bring it up 100 or more?

It is normal to have a setting more like 400rpm
