Max advance seems to be strange here in the "after" map.
Could you poste your engine setup chosen in the configurator please. Thanks.

It would be very interesting to compare it with your "before" map. Do your present map ("before-map") run without any detonation?

run

the engine ran fine with both maps slight pinking on light loads but apart from that it seemed to drive ok

Very interesting. I need to know what max pressure you are running. Is it 250 kpa? or less? Again thanks for sharing the informaition with me :)

Your squish should also be choosed at "good" as you are running > 3 valves. Plus max retards is 24 and not 33. However something tells me the configurator for >3 valves might be too "Safe" > 100kpa.

There are big difference between the two maps specially in regards to the top-end retards. Your current map also takes peak pressure / max tourge into account (appr. between 3500-5500 rpm). The startup map dosnt. 100% prediction of max tourge area in a configurator is like the rest not possible though.

My generated map looks a little funky - its telling me to run 5 degrees of advance at 180 kpa

4v per cyl
10.0:1 cr
<88mm
95 oct
Average temp
Squish 4v
no WI

5 degrees is very retarded isnt it?
