I would absolutely have a problem with it if my idle bounced from mid-upper 14's to a 12.0.

What size are your injectors? Maybe post a log and your MSQ so we can see if anything strange is going on.

I misread his post. For some reason I thought he was saying 14.5 - 14.7

I am running 42# injectors on a 6 cyl, 2.5L. I remember the afr being relatively steady before - I think I may have really fouled up plugs from running extremely rich on boost (like 9 or 10:1 at times) will post a datalog later this day.

It'll idle like 12.5 - 13.0 but then when I lean it out to try and get into the 14's it will sit on the vertical line seperating 2 bins, and it starts doing the circling around a little bit. I will have to look into it more.

So what? Why does it matter if it doesn't sit in one bin? As long as your idle is stable enough I'm not sure I understand what the problem is.

I agree that a small 0.5 AFR is nothing to complain about.

James - I am trying to get an economic idle out of it - if I let it idle like 12.5 - 13 (rarely 13, mostly 12.5) it will sit in the one bin, if I lean it out to hit 14.7 or so, it bounces around and the idle sounds different but still bounces 14.7 to 15.3, then back to like 12.5, then back up, then down, then up, then do.... like that.

Idle isn't meant for fuel economy. You'll have to deal with a seeking idle if you want it leaner as some motors don't like to idle any leaner than 13.0-13.5.

Is it ok to idle like 12.5 - 13 or will i be fouling plugs?

I know the car in stock form idled ~14.7 - 15

Yes, idling at 13.0 is fine. That's around where mine is and I've never had trouble with plugs fouling.
