i think the only way to get the trigger angles set up is to do it yourself - the computer has no way of knowing when to fire, except if you enter these values. remember that the vr sensor is at an angle to TDC, and I don't know if teeth one and two are at TDC either, so these are numbers we'll have to find
unfortunately my crank is off being lightened right now so I don't know what angle the teeth are to TDC
triggers
i have no fuel pump now and the led lights on the ecu dont flash on cranking hmm strange guess ill get my pump working first
strange but i never touched my pump probally my fusebox where ive been using feeds to the ecu oh deep joy
and my tps is running backwards so change the v5ref and signal round opposite way and they still run backwards but with lower readings
god damm cars
tps
im guessing the others wire did do somthing in a previous car Audi A3
but in my car they are disconnected
Did you wire the TPS using VRef and ground? You need all three wires, signal, ground, and Vref for it to work right. If yes, then you must have it backwards- swap Vref and ground, and it should go the right way. Also- how many pins does it have? Mine has a seperate pin for the idle on/off circuit and three for the normal pot.
As for that sensor- if it's not VR, which has two wires and a toothed wheel, then it is likely hall or optical. Both produce +5 square waves that you can feed straight to the tach input of MS. Take the dissy off, then move it around and see what comes out of the signal line. If it is hall or optical, it will produce a steady +5 when a tooth moves under it. Also- both hall and optical need power to work, make sure the sensor gets whatever voltage the stock computer gives it.
If you can take a picture of that dissy, it would really help.

the crank trigger is the same with ABF and ABA.
He's using 5/14/35/44 which, after looking at a friend's crank, looks perfect.
The space between teeth 1 and 2 is exactly 180" after TDC
The VR is exactly 90" CW of TDC
so at TDC the sensor would be picking up tooth 15
which makes 5/14 for trigger A perfect
you can probably have a look at his MSQ as well as he's ABF
