sucks to see that you're still having this problem. Do you have the MSD tach signal generator? That is how 2nd and 3rd gen people are getting around the weird tach signal off of the OBD2 pcms. that would allow you to have the correct settings.
also 6.8 was way too high for those size injectors...
As a note, I'm going to be putting in the MS2 pretty soon on my car with the 3bar map sensor as well. I have 86# injectors.

teb, i prob can try to rewire my tach signal to another source (obd1), but didnt really see a need to cause i adjusted the settings to the 12 and 12 and 4. Not really sure if it makes a difference. I did lower my req. fuel but still not enough. I am thinking about getting some 86#ers if i cant get this thing to lean out at idle. Friday i am gonna try to change the squirts to 2 and maybe 1 and see if that helps. If not i have no idea.

I cannot reduce my number of squirts to one, MS will not allow me to (because i am using alternating, so all injectors dont fire at once). I have a 4 cyl car, it wouldnt it need a even number to run? I get an error if i try 1. I can do 2 squirts which idealy i think would be 1 cause i have 12cyl and 12inj so my tach reads correct
No need to set the number of injectors to a fake number - use the real one. However, this is unlikely to be causing any problem as it will just change the ReqFuel number a bit.
If you use alternating then the minimum no. squirts is two. This is still one per channel so you have correctly minimised the opening time issue.
If you have a "real" one pulse per spark event tach signal that would help rule that out of the problem.
what about how i have to have my settings to 12cyl so the tach can read correct, you are saying you want me to leave it at 12cyl and then put it at 4 injectors, with 2 squirts? Because if i dont put it at 12cyl my tach will not read correct.
Here's what I did on my three cylinder engine with individual coils and wasted spark. I was getting two pulses per complete 720 degree cycle.
First, I set the number of cylinders to 3, and injectors to 3. Then I used the Req_fuel calculator to come up with the correct value for the engine.
Next, I set the number of cylinders to 2, and the number of injectors to 2. Req fuel stayed the same, and RPM is now displayed correctly.
The MS really doesn't care about the number of injectors, except in relation to the number of cylinders. You have a four cylinder with four injectors, which is a 1:1 ratio. Telling it 12 cylinders and 12 injectors gives the same 1:1 ratio, so you're still fine. See, MS just needs to know how much fuel each injector has to deliver for its cylinder(s). So if you don't change the ratio of cylinders to injectors, MS doesn't care if you've got a 1 cylinder, a 4 cylinder, or a 347 cylinder engine.
Later on when you get into acceleration enrichment and other things that operate for a certain number of ignition pulses, you'll have to alter the timing values to compensate for the fact that you don't really have a 12 cylinder engine. But for now, you should be fine.
The problem you're having is just that you've got too many squirts, like others have said. You should run fine on two or even one squirt.
