Ok I got a Datalog of the surging ... I have sense changed the dwell vs. batteryV time dramaticly. and it seems to work better

The msq is so you can see the new settings that SEEM to work better for the moment ...

Take a peak at the Dwell settings I have please Anyone That has any imput on these numbers is welcome ... It seems as though it helps but yea

I have also set my Injector/battvolt compensation to .002 ... Any number Larger then .009 creates a slight serge at idle WITH OUT any accessories(electric load).. Anything above .01 Creates a kinda bad searge.. and as the number gets larger the Serge gets WORSE and Worse... going WAY lean and then WAY rich....

The last time I posted a Datalog NOT A SOUL looked at it.... Lets see what happens this time..

Primate, You have my number?

I know someone called about MS2 a week or so back...or maybe I'm loosing it again and yuor PM is talking to me in my head (teh voices).

I was haveing trouble with burning. I just updated to the release and everything it running really smoothly. Have you updated yet? Also, are you PWM %'s set right. I can't help too much with those numbers for you since I have those 96'er L resistance injectors....so my numbers are differnt. And did you get the timing stuff worked out. If you want me to call, and go over some stuff, just send me your number on TSN and I'll call you when I get home with the IP phone (=teh free long distance).

Well i have had some trouble...

but just recently today! Updated my firmware to 2.34. with all the updated 2.25 stuff..

It seems to be saving properly..

Yea the ignitions settings.. I was using the EDIS settings... but have since changed to the GN DIS settings.

the trouble im having now is the IAC (kinda on going) Hard starts and a Surge issue

I have set all my Dwell stuff to Zero except max. dwell ( 8 ) and ACC . dwell..( 1 ).

All the other voltage related dwell stuff is zero.

that seems to have taken care of the surge.

I dont have your number, but the voices in your head are right It was me that PM'ed you at TSN about your Ignition settings. I also have my Offset Set at 68 .. that was my Zero TDC point. my power curve is nice.

Yeah, The TDC sould vary a few degrees. That's why the newer saturns needed the "Crank Learn Procedure" that you ay have heard about.

I found my sweet spot at 70 even. 2 degrees will be hard to meaure accuratly though without a crank degree thingy.. RIght now the paint mark is about 3-4 degrees wide...so I have an error of at least that.

Good to hear its coming along.. BTW, what's the diffrence between 2.33 and 2.34 (besides the number)? Wat was improved? I have both, but didn't read anything about 2.34, so I used 2.33. I was thinking that .34 might have been a beta for the upcoming 2.5, so I stayed away.

I have noticed that I get a stumble/misfire every few minutes. It feels just like it misses once, like the fuel puddeled up and too much fuel got into the combustion party. By the time I swing my head to look at the computer, it has already stopped. And to be honest, I don't think I could catch it with the datalog...Like I said, it feels like 1 misfire, not sustained, so it happens just too fast for me to catch it on the gauges..

Yea i had to get go threw the whole crank relearn thing back when i first swapped in the engine... in the Black saturn....

i think the only difference between 2.33 and 2.34 is one line of code...

http://www.msefi.com/viewtopic.php?t=15187

but I just Like being on the cutting edge....

I still have the IAC issue.. but Once its idleing well....

Here try this.

You will have to go into your ms2.ini file and change the max dwell setting from 8 to 25ms for it to work.

Good luck on the rebuild. I just got my Saturn started today for the first time. I'll let you know if I run into the same problems. I haven't got the bypass hooked up yet.
