Drop down menu, HELP!!!!

I have also been plagued with the drop down menus not “dropping†down as they normal do and should like all other PC programs. No matter what timing intervals I use, no change, I still have to move the mouse pointer down to get the menu to actually drop, (using the touch pad not a mouse). This is just a little awkward, (read annoying), and being as it was only mentioned and supposed to be addressed in this thread at the beginning, yet everything I’ve read in this thread pertaining to this exact “feature†is either not addressed or very vague at best. Any ideas guys?
On three separate lap tops, running 2 versions of Win 98 and two versions of Win 95 and all machines behave similarly. My Winders XP Desktop, the menus “drop†down as they should, in other words the drop down menus operate just fine, though my XP machine does have some other INI issues on MT start up that only this machine has running the exact same MT and MSnS-E as the others, but that is another thread all together.
Mt2.25b717beta

This is not funny. I installed win2k next to 98. Mt works like a charm.. I think this is software problem not hardware. I'am right?

Yes, I would strongly suspect the OS on that box. Do you have access to a different win2k installer, maybe it has drivers for a different machine or something.

Something for a different machine, maybe a standard generic installer disk.

I don't do windows, so I don't know what "select" means. Get some windows installation cds from a different system and install that. Like I said before, it might be flakey drivers with whatever installation doesn't work, so find something with different drivers and see if that works.

Hi guys,
I am having the same types of problems. the only screens that will run fast for me are screens with just text boxes to fill in. I'm running xp sp2, computer is amd 64 4000 with a gig of ram.
However, on my laptop I have win2k still. Should I attempt putting the new version of mt2.25 on there and see how it does?

Yes, delete all old beta versions and install the release 2.25.

I'm having the same problem as everyone else. If you click on a menu item, the sub-menu doesn't drop-down unless you press cursor-down or move the mouse cursor to where the menu should be. Then there is a brief pause before the sub-menu finally appears. Here are my vitals:
- Megatune 2.25, Feb 5, 2006 Build
- Microsoft Windows 98 SRV 2, clean install
- Penitum I, 133Mhz Laptop, 80 MB of Ram
- I'm connecting to a MegaSquirt II, so my serial port is set to 115200, although MegaTune is slow regardless if it is properly connected to the MegaSquirt board or not.
