Help me! megasquirt Vacum

Post by linitier »

Can someone help me? I have a problem with my megasquirt system.

When I try to start my car, it doesn't start until I disconnect the vacuum to the megasquirt. If I start my car without the vacuum connected to the megasquiert, it starts without problem and turns normally. When the motor is running, if I try to connect the vacuum, the motor stops. I see on the computer that if I connect the vacuum to the megasquiert, the mSec injection stops. On iddle it turns at 1100 rpm without the vacuum. On the computer it appears 96 Kpa and 8.4 mSec.

I need help to find a solution.

I had try to modify my VE TABLE, without result. I also had my IAC disconnect without result.

I also had my motor turned to 2200 rpm without the vacuum connect to the megasquirt, when I connect the vacuum, keeping 2200 Rpm, my motor still turns, but very not well.

What can I do?

Thanks for your help.

He means your settings file. You can attach a file to your post. Go to the saved file you are using in MegaTune and post it.

What kind of engine and injectors do you have? It sounds like your engine needs way more fuel than your VE table is tuned to provide, and disconnecting the vacuum line will do just that. Try richening up those idle VE values to about 60% and see what happens. You should also be sure your constants are set right, especially ReqFuel using the calculator.
