Fooling the stock ecu. what can i do about injectors?

i am going to runa piggy back setup for the megasquirt, and i need it to not throw codes at me. the ecu runs the stock cluster, so beridding of it is a no-no. what can i use to fool the ecu into thinking that injectors are hooked up to it?

other than that, i think i can get everything else to work properly.

You could hook resistors in where the injectors used to be. Measure the resistance of the stock injector, and put equivalent resistors there.

They will have to be able to handle a relatively high wattage (P). Since P = V²/R = 210/R (for 14.5 Volts) this could easily require 15 to 25 Watt resistors or more (which aren't cheap). You might be able to use higher resistance/low wattage (cheaper) resistors, only your ECU knows for sure!

There is one potential 'fly in the ointment' - if the OEM ECU does diagnostic tests, like momentarily squirting excessive (or very little) fuel, and checking to see the effect on the EGO sensor output, then you will still get error codes. The later the ECU, the more likely this is...
