INJECTORS---how big is to big

Post by cododgeneon »

i was planning on buying a set of #96 injectors but i heard they might be to big to idle at 850rpms.

what do you think?
my plans are big, somewhere around 450-500whp...
i have supporting mods and wanna get the injectors out of the way.

thanks

Tyson,

How big is the cylinder that each injector will supply? If it's 500 cc or bigger, I would think you could make it work with MS-I, and make it work quite well with MS-II.

Has anybody got any sort of calculator that can kick out pulsewidths and duty cycles for different injector flowrates in different sized engines? Anything?

see http://www.ncs-stl.com/fuel/ReqInjectors02.xls

It does not address idle and low rpm Pulse Width. It concentrates on the high HP end of injector sizing.

Thanks for the link, I do alreasy have that spreadsheet and it ties up with some I have put together over the past couple of years.

I am more after something that will calculate pulsewidths, I know this is not easy and there are a lot of variables to consider. I guess I'm looking for an online Megasquirt, where the outputs can be read on the screen!
