idle control on bike throttle bodies

idle control on bike throttle bodies

Looking at using suzuki TB's on car engine but howis idle contrl acheived on this set up is there an idle air valve?

quite simple, there is no idle air control. There is a set screw and you adjust it accordingly for hot idle. There is a linkage bar that opens 4 plungers and this acts as a fast idle (aka, "choke"). Some also have a thermostatic valve that "helps" the fast idle circuit to stay open as needed like the old honda car setups, and others I'm sure.

Very primitive (compared to cars anyway)....but actually works very well once set up right.
