Microsquirt warranty

I purchased a microsquirt v3 from boost rules. I installed it and from the first connection it has had communication problems. I assumed it was the cord. I used a known good cord. The problem seem to go away. I tuned it on the dyno and was pleased with the unit. This evening I plugged in the laptop and wanted to check out the autotune feature and see if it could smooth out a few small part throttle issues in the map. The microsquirt would not communicate with my laptop. I switched cables and even tried a different computer. It will start and run fine. I contacted boost rules they told me there was no warranty. Other sellers have told me there is a one year warranty. Is boost rules telling the truth? If there is no warranty what can I do to get the box fixed?
