Newbie comm troubles

Post by dr.makoki »

Hello everybody

Sorry for another post on communication problems, it is my first installation and not sure what is happening to me, I read the megamanual pages and did a review on the forum but have not found a solution

I am installing a Microsquirt V3 on a Yamaha RD/RZ 350, using a XP laptop with USB-RS232 adapter from EFI Analitics

If I use the windows hyper terminal, I get a correct eco signal connecting 2 and 3 pins on the adaptor

If I try to establish communication with the ECU, usually I got a "no controller found" message, and, a couple of times, I got a different message from TunerStudio, I enclose a screen capture:

Portcheck.exe open the channel 2 but send the "no connection made" message

I have made a serial port monitoring using Eltima software, I enclose the logs of line and table views, you can see the laptop is sending messages to ECU, but no return happens

Can you give me an idea of what is happening??? I am really confused, and scared since it seems the comm in the ECU is not working properly

Thanks a lot in advance

Try reloading the firmware and see if that helps. If you get an error message, please post a screen shot.

FOUND THE MISTAKE :D

The comm jack in the ECU wiring was broken, depending on the position, the wiring got short circuited, now, it works perfect :yeah!:
